Oryan West (pronounced "O'Ryan") is an actor based in New York City. Upon moving to New York Oryan quickly started working in TV and film, and made his NY stage debut in an Off-Off-Broadway production of The Laramie Project. In addition to seasons 1 and 2 of From Dusk Till Dawn (2014) from producer Robert Rodriguez other early TV appearances included principle roles in the shows Grave Secrets (2016), Evil Lives Here (2016), and Killision Course (2016) on the Oxygen Network. Early film credits included a large supporting role opposite Pruitt Taylor Vince , in the film The Devil's Candy (2015) from director Sean Byrne , a lead role in the coming-of-age drama Closer to Bottom from director Jesse Borrego , and A Horse Tail (2015) starring Patrick Muldoon and Charisma Carpenter. He can also be seen in the award winning music video "My Church" from singer Maren Morris. Oryan is also the writer and star of the one-man, multi-character show "Angel Sector," which takes a look at life on planet Earth from the perspective of a frustrated angel named Max. Cousin of actor Randy Mulkey . Has studied film acting with coaches Will Wallace , Sally Jackson , Maurice Moore , and Marco Perella among others. Was an extra in the movie _Toys (1992)_ while in middle school. Oryan spent over a year living in Liege, Belgium as an exchange student - where he went to a French speaking school and lived with a French speaking family. His name has continued to evolve throughout his life. Raised by a single mother, he took his mother's maiden name "Landa" in his early twenties -and later decided to use the last name "West" professionally to avoid having to decide between his mother's last name and father's last name. Is an Ambassador with The Miracle Foundation - a non-profit, Austin-based organization that supports orphanages across India - and in October 2014, Oryan spent time in India volunteering at one of these orphanages. Has been an avid rock climber and back-country skier, and has a penchant for outdoor sports. Has studied at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in NYC. He was a 3 sport athlete in high school playing varsity football as a running back, and track & field as a pole vaulter and sprinter. He also wrestled for 9 straight years.
